It’s an historic chart week in the U.K., where Olivia Rodrigo bags three Top 5 singles, including the leader with “Good 4 U” (Geffen).
The teenage Californian singer and songwriter becomes the first female artist to occupy three spots in the Official Singles Chart Top 5 in the same cycle, the OCC confirms.
“Good 4 U” enters a third week at No. 1 with 96,000 combined sales, including 11.2 million streams, while “Déjà Vu” lifts 5-4 and “Traitor” reenters at No. 5, both new highs.
Only a select few acts have achieved this feat, including late Beatle John Lennon, Justin Bieber, Ed Sheeran, and Drake, who last did it in 2018 following the release of his Scorpion album.
Rodrigo has been smashing records for fun. Last month, she became the youngest solo artist to achieve the Official Chart Double, aged just 18.
The highest entry on the current frame belongs to Billie Eilish, whose “Lost Cause” (Interscope) starts at No. 14 for her ninth Top 20 single.
Just one place behind is Calvin Harris’ “By Your Side” (Columbia) featuring Tom Grennan, at No. 15. “By Your Side” is Harris’ 36th Top 40 hit and Grennan’s third.
