It’s no coincidence that Olivia Rodrigo is channeling her creative energy into a monumental new project: her own all-women music festival. This vision, rooted in artistic camaraderie, is set to become a reality this August, featuring a stellar lineup that includes Chappell Roan, Doechii, and KATSEYE.

In a candid conversation with Good Morning America on Tuesday (June 23), Rodrigo peeled back the curtain on the inspirations behind her inaugural “Daisy Chain Fields” event. During the interview, she also dropped a tantalizing hint regarding a potential duet with the legendary Stevie Nicks. Reflecting on the festival’s name, Rodrigo explained, “I envisioned a space where girls could gather under the trees, sharing flowers and friendship. The idea of a ‘daisy chain’ represents how we are all individual, yet interconnected links in something much greater than ourselves.”

Rodrigo took a moment to honor the legacy of Lilith Fair, the iconic 90s all-female festival established by Sarah McLachlan. “Sarah was the first person I reached out to when this project began to take shape,” Rodrigo noted. “She is a true pioneer and a cherished friend.”

Announced earlier this week, the festival—scheduled for August 29 in Irvine, California—is committed to a philanthropic cause, with all proceeds benefiting charities that champion reproductive freedom and support for women and girls. The diverse roster of performers includes legends like Bikini Kill, Garbage, and Mitski, alongside rising stars.

With Karen O and McLachlan confirmed as special guests, anticipation is building for Fleetwood Mac icon Stevie Nicks to make an appearance. When host Diane Sawyer suggested the dream scenario of a Rodrigo-Nicks duet of “Landslide,” the singer teased, “We might just make that happen for you, Diane. We’ll see—I can’t reveal all my secrets yet.”

This news follows the massive success of Rodrigo’s third studio album, you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love. Driven by the chart-topping anthem “Drop Dead,” the record claimed the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200, marking the most successful opening week of her career with 485,000 units earned.
