Billboard picked 50 of the best songs of 2021 (so far), but we want to know which one is your No. 1 choice!
Olivia Rodrigo’s eight-week Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 hit “Drivers License” is the staff’s top pick, as writer Rania Aniftos describes how the 18-year-old singer-songwriter behind the breakup pop ballad “hit a nerve by so eloquently capturing specific emotions — from betrayal to insecurity to wanting to shout ‘I still f–king love you!’ — that had fans across generations reliving the devastation of failed first loves.” Elsewhere on the list, Rodrigo’s second Hot 100 chart-topper, the guitar-driven pop-punk anthem “Good 4 U,” ranks at No. 13.
While Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak have yet to put out their highly anticipated Silk Sonic album, they left the door open for more hits to come after their No. 1 smash “Leave the Door Open” secured our No. 2 spot. More all-star matchups hold down the top 10, including The Weeknd and Ariana Grande‘s “Save Your Tears” remix (No. 3), Dua Lipa and DaBaby‘s “Levitating” (No. 4), Pooh Shiesty and Lil Durk‘s “Back in Blood (No. 6), and Justin Bieber, Giveon and Daniel Caesar‘s “Peaches” (No. 8). And BTS’ “Butter” made a late entrance but still made our top 50.
So which of the first half of the year’s hits do you consider to be the best (so far)? Vote below!
