Olivia Rodrigo shared footage of herself attending a My Chemical Romance concert on the group’s Long Live the Black Parade tour in an Instagram Story on Wednesday (Oct. 28).
“🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷 @mychemicalromance🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷,” she captioned the clip of the band performing the title track from their 2006 third studio album, The Black Parade. Both Rodrigo and My Chemical Romance are potential contenders for high positions on the Billboard 200 dated Nov. 6.
Rodrigo’s album You Seem Pretty Sad For a Girl So In Love has spent three nonconsecutive weeks at No. 1. It debuted at the top of the chart in June, held the spot for two weeks, and returned to the peak on the chart dated Oct. 31 following the release of a remix for her single “Expectations,” a collaboration with Chappell Roan.
My Chemical Romance released The Black Parade (20th Anniversary) expanded edition on Oct. 23. The release could join other reissues from 2026 that reached the top 10, including records by The Beatles (Rubber Soul), Beyoncé (B’Day), and Mac Miller (The Divine Feminine). The anniversary collection contains the original album—featuring their highest-charting single, the No. 9 Billboard Hot 100 hit “Welcome to the Black Parade”—alongside six bonus tracks and two live songs.
If you seem pretty sad … remains at No. 1, it will mark Rodrigo’s second-longest run at the top. If My Chemical Romance reaches No. 1, it will be the band’s first chart-topping LP. The Black Parade peaked at No. 2 when it was released in 2006.
