A new entry has surfaced on the Rockstar Games support portal, though it remains hidden from public directories for the time being. The article details the decommissioning of yet another legacy feature—a move that aligns with the studio’s recurring habit of announcing such changes only as they are about to take effect.

Starting March 9, the ability to use Snapmatic selfies and in-game arrest photos from GTA 5 and GTA Online as Social Club avatars will be discontinued. Rockstar plans to remove this specific category entirely from the avatar selection menu. However, there is a small consolation: users who have already set these images as their profile icons—or do so before the deadline—will be permitted to keep them indefinitely.
