No Limit Rapper C-Murder Denied Retrial for Murder Conviction

New Orleans rapper C-Murder (actual title: Corey Miller) has been denied the chance for a retrial in connection together with his conviction for the 2002 killing of teenager Steve Thomas, New Orleans’ The Advocate and the Associated Press report.

Last 12 months, two eyewitnesses, Kenneth Jordan and Darnell Jordan, recanted their testimonies from earlier trials, claiming that they didn’t see Miller shoot the 16-year-old Thomas at a Louisiana nightclub. “I know the individual that I saw shoot the gun was not Corey Miller,” Jordan wrote in a sworn assertion. He additionally claims in his affidavit that detectives pressured him to lie underneath oath about witnessing Miller commit the taking pictures and threatened him together with his personal prison fees.

According to The Advocate, the decide dominated that Jordan’s recantations “were not credible” and that Miller “did not meet the burden of proof for post-conviction relief.”
