Nioh 3 Developers Highly Value Player Feedback and Will Always Release Demos of Their Projects
Nioh 3 is scheduled to launch on February 6 for PC and PS5.
In June this year Team Ninja announced Nioh 3 and simultaneously released a demo, giving players immediate access to a new open map and two combat styles. After the demo, the team published a report outlining changes driven by player feedback — including customizable controls and the return of the weapon-switching mechanic. In a recent interview with Denfaminicogamer, Nioh 3 producer Fumihiko Yasuda discussed why the series traditionally issues a demo before release.
We’ve always released demos to collect player feedback, but the reaction to the recent alpha was especially strong. Since games like this depend on more than atmosphere or visuals, it’s vital for us to get input grounded in real gameplay. Player feedback either validates our strengths or compels us to rethink our approach entirely. That process also ignites community excitement and helps build a lively fanbase around Nioh.
