New “Successor” to Rising Storm 2 — Demo of Shooter ’83 Now on Steam

Blue Dot Games is putting the finishing touches on the tactical shooter ’83, and players can now try it at no cost. A demo is available on Steam, while the full release is slated for the fourth quarter of 2025.

’83 prioritizes uncompromising realism in combat. The developers describe the title as a spiritual successor to Rising Storm 2, noting that a large portion of the team previously worked on that series as well as other well-known tactical shooters such as Red Orchestra.

The game retains the hallmark atmosphere of its predecessors — tense firefights, coordinated team play, and meticulous attention to weapons and equipment. The developers say they will showcase more gameplay and features of ’83 as the release approaches.
