Stranger Things Season 5: Episodes, Cast and Netflix Guide

The posters for Stranger Things Season 5 were part of the campaign for the final chapter of Netflix’s Hawkins story. All eight episodes are now streaming on Netflix; the season follows the final battle for Hawkins, its returning cast and the complete episode order.

What Season 5 is about

The final season begins in the fall of 1987. Hawkins is scarred by the Rifts opened at the end of Season 4, and the group reunites around one objective: find and stop Vecna. His location and plans are unknown, while the government places the town under military quarantine and intensifies its search for Eleven.

The story also returns to the approaching anniversary of Will Byers’s disappearance. Netflix frames the season as one last battle requiring the full party. The final season follows directly from the events of Season 4.

Episodes and release order

Season 5 contains eight episodes. Netflix launched the first four on November 26, 2025, followed by Episodes 5–7 on December 25 and the finale on December 31. All eight are now available together on the service.

The episode titles are “The Crawl,” “The Vanishing of Holly Wheeler,” “The Turnbow Trap,” “Sorcerer,” “Shock Jock,” “Escape from Camazotz,” “The Bridge” and “The Rightside Up.” The titles alone do not reveal the season’s outcome, but later synopsis pages and interviews may contain major spoilers.
