Following the critical buzz surrounding Babygirl, director Halina Reijn has officially lined up her next directorial effort. According to industry reports, she will helm a period drama titled Please, produced by the powerhouse indie studio A24.

The film is set to star pop sensation Gracie Abrams—daughter of renowned filmmaker J.J. Abrams—in the leading role. While specific plot details remain closely guarded secrets, A24 is confirmed to handle the film’s distribution.

A premiere date has yet to be finalized. Reijn previously earned acclaim for her Gen-Z slasher Bodies Bodies Bodies. Her most recent work, the 2024 thriller Babygirl, notably earned Nicole Kidman the prestigious Volpi Cup for Best Actress at the Venice Film Festival.
