Mafia: The Old Country launched exactly one month ago – see the announcement here – yet the publisher has not disclosed any official sales figures. We may learn the full details in November, when Take-Two releases its financial report. In the meantime, Alinea Analytics expert Reese Elliot estimates that the prequel has surpassed one million units sold across all platforms:
- 643,000 copies on PlayStation 5 and PS5 Pro
- 337,000 copies on PC (Steam)
- 117,000 copies on Xbox Series X/S
The development budget for Mafia: The Old Country remains undisclosed, and it’s unclear whether costs have been fully recouped. However, with the standard edition priced at $50—and several higher-tier editions available—the game has likely generated at least $55 million in revenue to date.
As for the entire Mafia franchise, total lifetime sales have now exceeded 35 million copies. According to the rights holder, the breakdown is as follows:
- Mafia I – 3 million copies
- Mafia II – 5 million copies
- Mafia III – 7 million copies
- Definitive Editions (remake of the first game and remasters of the others) – 19 million copies
