New ‘Korean Witcher’ Crimson Desert Gameplay Demonstrates the Game’s Scale

Fans of expansive role-playing games should certainly take note of this title. Its premiere is scheduled for March 19, 2026 — the project is being developed by the creators of Black Desert Online.

As part of the promotional campaign, the developers have revealed fresh gameplay footage.

An IGN feature highlights the scope and ambition of the project. Crimson Desert has been described as a fusion of The Witcher 3 and Skyrim and even dubbed “the Witcher of Korea.” The game promises a branching narrative, numerous side quests, nonlinear choices, and a dynamic combat system. All of this unfolds within a world of intrigue, magic, and brutal conflict.

The new footage showcases a diverse array of foes — soldiers, monsters, colossal dragons, and mechanical constructs. The protagonist will command a broad arsenal: melee weapons, spells, and specialized combat abilities for striking combos during battles.

The gameplay suggests that the additional development time was beneficial. If the developers polish the details, resolve outstanding bugs, and deliver a story on par with the best RPGs, Crimson Desert could become one of the standout releases of 2026.
