New Game Moomin: Midsummer Madness Announced
Almost everyone knows the Moomins. Once part of the childhood of an entire generation, the brand is now attempting a return to the top, and players can expect a new adventure this fall.
Moomin: Midsummer Madness is a point-and-click adventure game based on the works of Tove Jansson. Players take control of Moomintroll and Little My, who find themselves in an old theater flooded by a severe flood. The characters must find their way home by solving puzzles, completing tasks, and meeting familiar characters.
The developers are focusing on a calm and friendly gameplay experience for players of all ages. The world is hand-drawn in the style of Jansson’s original works. The game will also feature mini-games and a hint system.
The project is handled by developer Crossbridge Game Studios and publisher Shochiku Games. Moomin: Midsummer Madness will be released in the fall of 2026 on Steam, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2. An exact release date has not been announced yet.
