The actor admitted that shooting in the blazing desert for the third installment of “Dune” was one of the most exhausting — and oddly soothing — experiences of his career.
In an interview with IndieWire, Robert Pattinson reflected on his time working on Denis Villeneuve’s film “Dune: Part Three.”
“When we were shooting Dune, the desert was so unbearably hot that I simply couldn’t think. It had a strangely calming effect — like my mind had switched off and not a single cell was firing. I just listened to Denis: ‘Anything you want!’”
“Dune: Part Three” is scheduled to premiere on December 18, 2026. The film adapts Frank Herbert’s 1969 novel Dune Messiah, which explores the consequences faced by the Atreides after the Fremen-led jihad that followed his rise to Emperor Muad’Dib. Pattinson is set to portray the antagonist Scytale — one of the conspirators plotting against House Atreides.
