MOLE will launch on Steam on June 15, 2026. Swedish studio Off Black Creations and publisher Oro Interactive are preparing a psychological horror game where the tension comes not only from atmosphere, but also from operating a massive drilling machine by hand.
The player takes the role of the Navigator aboard a deep-bore vessel. The crew is gone, the machine is dormant and a signal keeps calling from below. Moving forward means repairing systems, using levers and switches, and learning how the vessel works without tutorials or markers.
The developers describe MOLE as a story about loss, guilt and coming to terms with past failures. As the descent continues, fragments of memory, religious imagery and fractured scenes blur the line between what is real and what is breaking down inside the protagonist’s mind. A full playthrough is expected to take around 4–5 hours.
The game avoids step-by-step instruction. Understanding the machinery becomes part of survival: players learn through action, listen to the vessel and work out how to keep it alive. This approach puts MOLE close to compact horror games such as Mouthwashing and Iron Lung, where pressure comes from space, sound and limited control.
MOLE will be priced at $12.99 on Steam, with a 10% launch discount. The game will support nine languages, including Russian, Ukrainian, German, French, Spanish, Polish, Japanese, Brazilian Portuguese and Simplified Chinese.
