MiscMindsEye: Blacklisted and Price Reductions

On Tuesday, April 28, Build A Rocket Boy launched the highly anticipated “Blacklisted” mission for MindsEye. This latest addition allows players to step into the shoes of contract killer Julia Black and is currently available at no extra cost across PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.

The reception, however, has been notably muted. Despite management’s bold promises of bombshell revelations, the update seems to have fallen flat. While the mission attempts to weave in references regarding supposed evidence against internal “saboteurs,” players have largely found the narrative substance underwhelming and unengaging.

Of greater note than the content update is the significant price adjustment that accompanied the release:

  • Standard Edition: Reduced from $60 to $35
  • Deluxe Edition: Reduced from $80 to $48
  • Deluxe Edition Upgrade: Reduced from $30 to $18

Even with localized pricing on Steam offering even better value, the title is struggling to find an audience, with peak concurrent player counts barely scraping 42 over the last week.
