Migos revealed the star-studded track list for their anticipated Culture III album on Tuesday (June 8), which will feature Justin Bieber (“What You See”), late MCs Juice WRLD (“Antisocial”) and Pop Smoke (“Light It Up”), Drake (“Having Our Way”) and more.
The 19-track effort will also have assists from Cardi B on “Type S–t,” Polo G on “Malibu,” Future on “Picasso” and NBA Youngboy on “I Need It.” The trio’s anticipated threequel is due out on Friday (June 11) and if it has the impact of the first two editions this summer could be Migos season.
The original 2016 Culture and 2018’s Culture II spawned multiple Hot 100 top 10 singles, most notably “Motorsport” and “Walk It, Talk It,” but also their crown jewel and sole No. 1 hit, 2017’s “Bad and Boujee.”
In a recent interview with Billboard, Offset said the trio are still waiting for the world to acknowledge their impact. “We made this trap [style] go pop,” he said. “They don’t talk about that. We made trap go pop talking about selling pounds and bricks, and we hit Billboard No. 1. Hip-hop artists weren’t going No. 1 like that, but now it just be ‘bang, bang, bang.'”
After the group laid low for three years while its members — which also include Quavo and Takeoff — released solo albums, they recently returned with the hypnotic single “Straightenin,” which recently debuted at No. 38 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. “We not just doing one verse and one verse — we’re switching it up,” Offset said. “We doing things other people can’t do because we the only group. We got creative with our flows, so we could stamp another [movement]. We feel like we gonna lead the pack with this album.”
