Microsoft Prepares Historic Windows Update: Control Without a Keyboard or Mouse

Microsoft has announced a major event for October 16, 2025, where the company plans to reveal a “breakthrough” addition to Windows. A cryptic teaser posted on the corporation’s official account has ignited widespread discussion among users.

In the post, Microsoft wrote: “It’s time to give your fingers a rest.” That line hints the system may gain an AI-enhanced voice control layer capable of replacing the conventional mouse and keyboard.

Pavan Davuluri, head of the Windows division, said the company is working toward “natural interaction” between people and PCs — not only for typing or drawing, but for routine, everyday tasks as well.

According to vice president David Weston, the computer of the future should “hear, see, and understand” the user by combining voice commands, image recognition, and an interactive conversational system. Everything suggests Windows is gearing up for a new generation of interfaces.
