Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger has joined the cast of Three Incestuous Sisters, the latest project from Italian director Alice Rohrwacher (known for La Chimera).
The film features a star-studded ensemble, including Saoirse Ronan, Jessie Buckley, and Dakota Johnson. Jagger is set to portray the father of the character played by Josh O’Connor (Challengers), with production currently underway in Italy.
The movie is an adaptation of the graphic novel of the same name by Audrey Niffenegger (author of The Time Traveler’s Wife). The story follows three sisters living under one roof who all find themselves enamored with the same man. Three Incestuous Sisters is slated for release in 2027.
This role is far from Jagger’s first foray into cinema; the musician has previously appeared in the Western Ned Kelly, various documentaries by Martin Scorsese and Jean-Luc Godard, and the 2019 crime thriller The Burnt Orange Heresy.
