The official Metro Exodus Twitter account has issued a press release concerning latest feedback made by a member of the 4A Games growth workforce.
The Metro Exodus Epic Store exclusivity saga gained a brand new chapter over the weekend after one unnamed 4A Games developer made a touch upon some followers’ efforts to boycott the PC model as a consequence of its Epic Store exclusivity.
Posting on a Russian forum, the developer expressed their disappointment in regards to the response from these followers, and stated that if the boycott is profitable, the following Metro game – if there’s one – gained’t make it to PC.
This clearly didn’t sway the already disgruntled gamers, inflicting much more anger. Following this remark, the official Metro Twitter has issued a press release, reassuring gamers that PC gained’t be excluded if and when future Metro games are introduced.
“The recent comments made by a member of the 4A Games development team do not reflect Deep Silver’s or 4A Games’ view on the future of the franchise,” the assertion reads.
“They do reflect the hurt and disappointment of a passionate individual who has seen what was previously nothing but positive goodwill towards his work turn to controversy due to a business decision he had no control over. We respectfully ask that any and all valid feedback over this decision is directed at Koch Media / Deep Silver, and not the developers at 4A Games.”
In the assertion, the developer reiterated that the choice to make Exodus an Epic Games Store unique was made entirely by Deep Silver / Koch Media, and added that the pair will finally resolve the destiny of the Metro collection.
“The future launch technique of the Metro collection lies with Koch Media / Deep Silver. Our choice to associate with Epic Games was based mostly on the aim of investing in the way forward for the collection and our growth associate at 4A Games.
“We have each intention of continuous this franchise, and a PC model will all the time be on the coronary heart of our plans.”
Metro Exodus is out February 15 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
