Responding to community requests, the developers have added a “casual” mode. Players can now play 1v1 matches without losing rating:
“As with games like StarCraft II, players in both casual and ranked queues share the same matchmaking pool, and previous analysis has shown this does not lead to a significant increase in MMR.”
- Seasonal rewards can still be earned in casual mode.
- Casual mode is not available for 2v2 matches.
