Matt Damon may replace Ryan Gosling

Matt Damon is reportedly in talks to headline the upcoming project from Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, the visionary filmmakers behind the Academy Award-winning *Everything Everywhere All at Once*. While plot details remain tightly under wraps, the film is widely expected to be another ambitious science fiction blockbuster.

Ryan Gosling was previously attached to star, but had to step away from the production due to scheduling conflicts. Universal Pictures has been actively searching for a successor, with Keanu Reeves and Brad Pitt among the initial frontrunners; however, both ultimately declined the role.

Damon appears poised to take on the project, with production slated to commence this summer in Los Angeles. The film is currently scheduled for a global theatrical release on November 19, 2027.
