Mary Holland Cast as Female Lead in DC Jimmy Olsen Series

Mary Holland has joined the cast of the DC Studios mockumentary comedy series about Jimmy Olsen, according to Deadline.

Holland landed the female lead role and will play a character named Sandra. Her background, profession, and place in the story are not yet disclosed. Holland joins Skyler Gisondo, who will reprise his role as Jimmy Olsen following the movie Superman.

The series uses a true-crime parody format. Jimmy Olsen hosts a program about supervillain crimes, and the first season focuses on Gorilla Grodd, a telepathic intelligent gorilla who frequently opposed the Flash in DC comics. Gorilla Grodd is played by American Vandal star Jimmy Tatro.

American Vandal creators Tony Yacenda and Dan Perrault are developing the project. They wrote the script, lead production, and serve as executive producers alongside James Gunn and Peter Safran. The spinoff does not yet have an official title or premiere date.
