Marvel’s Wolverine creators responded with a “clown” emoji to players who perceived an agenda in the trailer

Not everyone is willing to embrace the developers’ creative direction.

A new trailer for Marvel’s Wolverine was recently released. It not only showcased Wolverine’s combat but also devoted attention to several supporting characters.

At one point Mystique appears on screen — some players were unhappy with the character’s design, calling it “progressive.”

Shortly afterwards Insomniac Games posted a reply on social media: the developers shared a “clown” emoji and an index finger pointing at the viewer; their subsequent post included a heart in the distinctive color associated with Mystique.
