Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls Faces Player Criticism at Launch

Comment Views: 0

MARVEL Tokon: Fighting Souls holds “mixed” user reviews on Steam following its release, driven by the Easy Anti-Cheat system that blocks launches on Linux and SteamOS, alongside poor optimization.

The new PlayStation release, MARVEL Tokon: Fighting Souls, encountered major issues after its launch. The fighting game came out on August 6 on PS5 and PC. Initial user reviews proved negative.

On Steam, the project received a “mixed” rating after 1,400 reviews. The primary complaint from players stems from the use of the Easy Anti-Cheat system, which completely blocks the game from launching on Linux and SteamOS-powered devices, including the Steam Machine. Users noted that developers gave no warning about these restrictions prior to release.

PC owners also complained about weak optimization. According to player reports, even high-end computers equipped with top-tier processors and graphics cards struggle to maintain a stable 30 frames per second.

At the same time, the player count launch proved solid. On release day, MARVEL Tokon: Fighting Souls peaked at over 24,000 concurrent users on Steam.

The coming days will prove vital for the project. If developers quickly fix the technical problems, negative reviews might subside.
