Martin Bobb-Semple Joins Sophie Turner in Amazon’s Tomb Raider Series — Filming Begins January 2026

Another adaptation centered on Lara Croft will soon arrive on screens.

Variety reveals that British actor Martin Bobb-Semple has joined the cast of Amazon Prime Video’s Tomb Raider series. His role is being kept confidential, but he is reported to be a series regular who will portray an important character.

Bobb-Semple previously held a principal part on All American: Homecoming, where he progressed from guest appearances to the main ensemble. Before that he appeared in the thriller One of Us Is Lying and in the short-lived series Pandora. He has few other major film or TV credits, having begun his career on the London stage.

It was previously confirmed that Sophie Turner will portray Lara Croft. The series is being developed by Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Killing Eve), who serves as showrunner, screenwriter and executive producer. She is collaborating with Chad Hodge (Pines), who is co-showrunner. Jonathan van Tulleken (Shōgun, Misfits) is attached to direct. Filming is scheduled to commence on January 19, 2026.

The release date remains undisclosed.
