Macaulay Culkin has not dismissed the idea of rejoining the beloved Christmas franchise Home Alone. The actor says he was never “categorically opposed” to revisiting the role of Kevin McCallister.
Culkin even outlined his take on a possible sequel. In his proposal, Kevin would be a single parent—either widowed or divorced—who struggles to give his child the attention they need. A rift would open between them, leaving Kevin locked out of the house while his child rigs traps inside. The story would follow Kevin’s efforts to find his way back into the home.
Under this premise, the house becomes a symbol of the parent–child bond, and Kevin must rediscover a way to reach his son’s heart.
