As our team continues work on the for , we’re turning our attention to two of the state’s most emblematic cities: New Orleans and Baton Rouge. Each city brings its own cultural flavor, architectural character, and historical weight — and we’ve been carefully crafting environments that capture their distinct personalities behind the wheel.

Louisiana: New Orleans and Baton Rouge

New Orleans

Perched on the Mississippi River, New Orleans is instantly recognizable for its music, cuisine, and unmistakable Southern atmosphere. In-game, you’ll be able to cruise past famed landmarks and along streets that hum with life at all hours.

A highlight for drivers is the Crescent City Connection — the twin-span bridge that arcs over the Mississippi and frames dramatic skyline views. Close by stands the New Orleans Dome, a prominent venue for sports and concerts that anchors the downtown skyline. Whether you’re delivering cargo along the waterfront or weaving through busy downtown avenues, New Orleans is modeled with a focus on atmosphere and authentic detail.

You’ll also pass several cultural touchstones that define the city: the New Orleans Convention Center, the busy cruise terminal welcoming international visitors, and the National WWII Museum — one of the nation’s most respected historical institutions. And of course, iconic thoroughfares like Canal Street make for unmistakable in-game moments that echo the real-world city.

Baton Rouge

About an hour’s drive upriver, Baton Rouge — Louisiana’s capital — blends historic charm with modern energy. Our in-game recreation aims to reflect that mix, bringing both civic landmarks and everyday city life to the map.

Crossing the Horace Wilkinson Bridge delivers sweeping vistas of the river and city below — a rewarding moment for any hauler. Inside Baton Rouge, players will find noteworthy sites such as the gothic-evocative Old State Capitol and the towering New State Capitol, the tallest capitol building in the United States. The Baton Rouge Memorial Plaza adds a reflective green space amid the urban core.

Baton Rouge also features cultural and recreational destinations — the River Center Arena, the USS KIDD Veterans Museum, the Louisiana Art & Science Museum, and Memorial Stadium among them. Like other major cities in American Truck Simulator, Baton Rouge pairs sightseeing with practical gameplay: expect numerous freight runs through industrial districts and commercial corridors.

Both New Orleans and Baton Rouge embody the essence of Louisiana: a lively cultural tapestry, rich history, and the constant presence of the river. We look forward to you experiencing these cities firsthand when the Louisiana DLC releases for American Truck Simulator.
