Louis Tomlinson Confirms Australian Tour is “Inevitable” Following New Album Release

Louis Tomlinson has effectively guaranteed a return to Australian shores, assuring his devoted fanbase that a tour Down Under is not just a possibility, but a certainty.

The singer-songwriter shared the exciting news during an appearance on The Smallzy Show this Friday (Jan. 23). During the conversation, host Smallzy pointed out that while Tomlinson’s current global itinerary spans the U.K., Europe, and the U.S. from March through July, Australia was conspicuously absent from the schedule.

Addressing the gap in his tour dates, Tomlinson remarked, “Yeah, Australia dates aren’t out there yet, though.”

When prompted about a cryptic side-eye emoji he previously sent to a fan on social media regarding the region, the former One Direction star leaned fully into the speculation. “I find the skepticism quite amusing because, for as long as I’ve been a touring artist, I’ve always made it a point to visit Australia. It’s inevitable,” Tomlinson explained. “I genuinely love it there. I don’t think it will be much longer until we can make an official announcement, to be honest.”

To quell any fears that he might be teasing without follow-through, Tomlinson doubled down on his commitment. “It is absolutely happening. Tell the fans not to worry. The tour is coming, so start preparing for tickets soon,” he urged.

This news coincides with the rollout of his latest studio effort, How Did I Get Here?. This project serves as the successor to his 2020 debut Walls and his 2022 sophomore release Faith In The Future, marking a prolific new chapter in his solo career since the One Direction hiatus.

Tomlinson is no stranger to the Australian circuit. He made his solo debut there in July 2022 and returned for a highly successful East Coast run in early 2024. His previous performances were celebrated for their dynamic blend of solo material and nostalgic nods to his boy band roots—including hits like “Drag Me Down” and “Where Do Broken Hearts Go”—alongside unexpected covers like Arctic Monkeys’ “505.”

While specific venues and dates remain under wraps, Tomlinson’s enthusiastic confirmation suggests that an official schedule for Australian fans is imminent.
