Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik to Reunite in New Netflix Road-Trip Docuseries

Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik are reportedly reuniting for a Netflix documentary series that follows the two former One Direction members on a U.S. road trip as they revisit their personal lives, careers and the sudden death of bandmate Liam Payne.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the series is directed by Nicola Marsh and produced by Campfire Studios — the company behind titles such as Unknown Number: The High School Catfish, SmartLess: On the Road and America’s Sweethearts: The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders.

The documentary is described as a road-trip–style series and is currently slated to premiere on Netflix in 2026.

Marsh’s credits include the Demi Lovato documentary Child Star, episodes of Song Exploder and the skateboarding film Stay on Board: The Leo Baker Story, and she is expected to bring an intimate, character-driven approach to this project.

Liam Payne died in October 2024 after falling from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Toxicology testing later indicated that he had elevated levels of alcohol and multiple other substances in his system at the time of his death.

In the days after Payne’s passing, all former One Direction members shared tributes across social media. The group issued a joint statement expressing deep grief and saying they would take time to mourn and support his family, friends and fans.

Per The Hollywood Reporter, Harry Styles and Niall Horan are not expected to appear in the Netflix series.
