Among the flurry of afterparties that followed Portola 2025, Neil Frances’ late-night appearance at Public Works rose above the rest — an especially memorable night for the duo themselves.

“Frankly some DJ sets are just way better than others,” the pair told Billboard. “The audience makes it special, and the audience was so up for it at our Portola afterparty at Public Works.”

The Public Works show took place on Sept. 20, after Neil Frances performed earlier that day at the festival. Sharing the bill with Caribou — including his Daphni alter ego — the night served as an extension of the duo’s Club NF concept: a series in which the Los Angeles–based alt-pop outfit leans into the more club-oriented side of their sound.

Club NF finds Australian-born Jordan Feller and Southern California native Marc Gilfry reworking their own catalogue alongside beloved tracks from other artists, reshaping each into club-ready edits that fit the duo’s dancefloor aesthetic.

The set at Public Works is a jubilant, 96-minute journey through original edits, deep cuts and canonical club moments — including Armand Van Helden’s era-defining 1996 remix of Tori Amos’ “Professional Widow.” That entire performance was recorded and is available to stream below.

“All of our best friends were there, and Marc and I actually took some time to prepare for the set, which is pretty rare tbh,” Feller said. “We should do it more. I remember fleeting moments so thankfully we decided to record this one.”

Club NF continues into the fall: the duo play this weekend in Oklahoma City, with upcoming dates in Austin, Texas; a We Belong Here event in New York City’s Central Park; and three dates across Mexico.
