Elle on Prime Video: Poster, Cast and Season 2 Status

Prime Video shared the poster for Elle in January 2026. The Legally Blonde prequel moves back to 1995, following Elle Woods through high school before Harvard and the courtroom career seen in the films.

What Elle is about

The series focuses on the experiences that shape Elle’s confidence and sense of identity: friendships, first relationships, setbacks and early successes. Its pink visual language connects the show to the familiar character, while the high-school setting places the story before the events of the 2001 film.

Cast and creative team

Lexi Minetree leads the series as teenage Elle Woods. June Diane Raphael and Tom Everett Scott play her parents, Eva and Wyatt. Gabrielle Policano, Jacob Moskovitz, Chandler Kinney and Zac Looker are also part of the main ensemble.

Laura Kittrell created the show and serves as co-showrunner with Caroline Dries. Jason Moore directed the first two episodes. Reese Witherspoon, who originated Elle on screen, is an executive producer through Hello Sunshine.

Release and Season 2 status

All eight first-season episodes arrived on Prime Video on July 1, 2026. Amazon renewed Elle before its debut, and Season 2 is now in production. No release date for the second season has been announced as of August 2026.
