Aliens: Fireteam Elite launched in 2021 on PC and consoles, enjoyed commercial success, and now appears to be getting a sequel. Although no official announcement has been made, the ESRB — the U.S. ratings board — has confirmed the existence of Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2.
At the time this was reported, the game’s page had been removed from the ESRB website, but a record showing a 17+ rating remains. Daybreak Game Company is listed as the developer, and the release is reportedly planned only for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S, with no support for previous-generation consoles.
According to the leak, Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 will include:
- a story campaign playable solo or in co-op, plus Annihilation and Horde modes;
- control of squad members from DAGGER Company—Xenomorph hunters—each possessing unique skills and weapon specialties;
- predefined characters with distinct names, personalities, and combat styles;
- an evolution system for enemy AI;
- no microtransactions or loot boxes at launch, though DLC with additional maps and missions may arrive later.
If the ESRB listing is accurate, an official announcement for the sequel could be expected soon.
