Lead actor found for Assassin’s Creed–inspired series
Australian actor Toby Wallace (“Bikers”) has been cast in a principal role for the screen adaptation of the video game Assassin’s Creed. The series will be distributed on the streaming service Netflix.
The show was initially announced in 2020. The original game debuted in 2007 and centers on the decades‑long conflict between the Assassins and the Templars, two factions with opposing philosophies.
The series is being developed by Robert Patino (“Westworld”) and David Wiener (“Halo”). Exact plot details and a release date have not been revealed. A feature‑length Assassin’s Creed film starring Michael Fassbender premiered in 2016.
Wallace is also set to appear in the third season of HBO’s Euphoria.
