Kiyo Pro: Razer launches new webcam for streamers, all technical details

Released in 2017, the first Razer Kiyo was the very first webcam from the manufacturer Razer. Equipped with a ring light, the device offered a resolution either in 1080p / 30fps, or 720p in 60fps. An ideal camera for streamers arriving today in a Pro version, in order to improve performance in just about every area. We learn that the Razer Kiyo Pro is equipped with an ultrasensitive CMOS sensor with STARVIS 1 technology, which offers a much higher quality, especially for videoconferences, but especially for streamers. If circular lighting has been abandoned, it is because the webcam no longer needs a backlight to perform in low light, and even against the light. In terms of image resolution, this Razer Kiyo Pro now offers 1080p in 60 images per second, which will make the image more fluid, knowing that there is now an HDR mode in 30fps, allowing to increase the dynamic range , correcting overexposed or underexposed areas, but also eliminating shadows if the subject is backlit, ensuring more vibrant colors.

The Razer Kiyo Pro still has its wide angle, which allows you to have 3 choices of field of view: 103 °, 90 ° or 80 °, which can obviously be configured in the webcam options. In terms of its manufacture, nothing seems to have changed, the webcam being above all functional and discreet, which will undoubtedly appeal to streamers. Note otherwise that Kiyo Pro uses a USB 3.0 connection to transmit a 5Gb / s signal, which should allow to obtain a maximum uncompressed image. While waiting to receive our copy to test it for you, and use it in our daily program 5 news & Rumors per day, we are giving you its technical sheet.
