Academy Award–winning Kenneth Branagh (Harry Potter, Belfast) has signed on to appear in A24’s new hybrid project, Goblin, Deadline reports.
Reports say the film draws inspiration from family-comedy benchmarks and Steven Spielberg’s E.T. Skyler Gisondo (credited on Superman) will play the human friend of the goblin.
The film will be directed by debut filmmaker David Michalson. The project was first revealed this past summer; no release date has been announced.
Branagh is scheduled to return to cinemas in spring 2026 in the sequel to The Devil Wears Prada.
