Katy Perry’s Manager Responds After Wendy’s Announces Hundreds of U.S. Closures

Bradford Cobb reposted news of Wendy’s planned shutdowns shortly after the brand’s social-media jabs at Perry drew widespread attention.

Katy Perry’s manager, Bradford Cobb, appeared to react after Wendy’s revealed plans to shutter hundreds of restaurants across the United States — a move that comes months after the fast-food chain took aim at Perry on social platforms.

On Friday, November 7, reports indicated that Wendy’s intends to close between 200 and 350 of its roughly 6,000 U.S. locations as part of a corporate turnaround, according to reporting from CNN.

Cobb reposted a KTLA headline about the closures to his Instagram Story and paired it with a photo of Wendy’s signature red sign, signaling his amusement at the news following the brand’s earlier barbs.

Wendy’s drew backlash in April after its official X account mocked Perry following her return from Blue Origin’s NS-31 flight, replying to a Pop Crave post with, “Can we send her back?” and later sharing a photo of Perry kissing the ground with the caption, “I kissed the ground and i liked it.” The account also quipped that her suborbital trip lasted “11 minutes,” when others noted the flight was only about ten minutes.

Perry was among six passengers on Blue Origin’s all-women crew; the flight was brief and the group returned safely to Earth.

In the weeks after the online barbs, Perry acknowledged the negativity and expressed gratitude to fans who supported her. She reflected on personal growth, the importance of staying true to herself, and how supportive fans have helped her remain grounded amid criticism. Perry also noted that criticism often reflects what people carry inside, and she prefers to respond with compassion rather than engage in hostility.

Her remarks emphasized resilience and connection with her audience, thanking followers for standing by her during a “beautiful and wild journey.”
