Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau Confirm Relationship with First Joint Public Appearance in Paris

After several weeks of public sightings, Katy Perry and former Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau have acknowledged their relationship by appearing together at a birthday celebration in Paris.

The 41-year-old pop star and the 53-year-old politician made their first confirmed public appearance as a couple on Saturday, October 25, 2025, marking Perry’s 41st birthday with an evening at Crazy Horse Paris, according to TMZ. Photographs from the night show the pair exiting the venue hand in hand, smiling and relaxed.

Two weeks earlier, during her London concert on October 13, 2025, Perry playfully addressed the swirling rumors after spotting a fan’s sign asking for marriage. She quipped that listeners had heard she was single — and implied anyone interested should have moved sooner, joking that they were “a little too late.”

Reports and earlier images circulated showing the pair sharing intimate moments, including photographs of them kissing on a yacht, as documented by People. Those outings followed prior sightings of them dining together in Canada after Trudeau attended Perry’s July concert in Montreal; he was even photographed singing along to “Firework” during her Lifetimes Tour stop at the Bell Centre.

Perry’s new relationship follows her split from actor Orlando Bloom in early July 2025. The two had an on-and-off relationship for nearly nine years and continue to co-parent their daughter, Daisy Dove.

Representatives for Perry and Bloom said at the time that the couple had been restructuring their relationship to prioritize co-parenting, and that they would continue to appear together in family settings while focusing on providing stability for their child.
