Yeah Yeah Yeahs frontwoman Karen O and producer Danger Mouse have detailed their new collaborative album. Lux Prima arrives March 15 by way of BMG, and is led by the brand new single “Woman.” “I like to write songs that anyone can relate to but this one felt especially for the inner child in me that needed the bullies out there to know you don’t fuck with me,” Karen O stated in a press release. “I’m a woman now and I’ll protect that inner girl in me from hell and high water.” Listen beneath.
The title track of the brand new album, the duo’s first joint single, was launched again in November. Karen O’s most up-to-date album with Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Mosquito, was launched in 2013. Danger Mouse recently revived his collaborative challenge with the Shins’ James Mercer, Broken Bells.
