Kaleo’s ‘Way Down We Go’ Is Back Atop Top TV Songs Chart

Kaleo’s “Way Down We Go” is a common presence on Billboard’s Top TV Songs chart, powered by Tunefind, and May 2021 is just another one of those months, as the song places at No. 1 on the latest tally.

Rankings for the Top TV Songs chart are based on song and show data provided by Tunefind and ranked using a formula blending that data with sales and streaming information tracked by MRC Data during the corresponding period of May 2021.

“Way Down We Go,” which most recently ruled Top TV Songs two years prior (May 2019) when it appeared in an episode of NCIS and has also crowned the tally multiple times in preceding months, returns this month after a spot in the May 25 episode of NBC’s This Is Us.

In May 2021, the song racked up 10 million U.S. on-demand streams and 15,000 downloads, according to MRC Data.

The chart’s No. 2 is also from This Is Us: K-Ci & JoJo’s “All My Life,” which was heard in the series’ May 11 episode. It earned 5.4 million streams alongside 4,000 downloads.
