Much like his meticulous approach to songwriting, Jung Kook of BTS curated his debut clothing line with his dedicated fanbase, ARMY, at the forefront of his mind.

In a behind-the-scenes feature released this Tuesday (May 19), the global superstar offered an intimate look at the design process for his new Calvin Klein capsule collection, which features an array of tees, pants, and jackets. Surrounded by fabric swatches and early sketches, the singer reflected on the experience, noting that translating his vision into apparel “reminded me a lot of working on an album or making a song.”

“From selecting the fabrics to refining the fit and deliberating over every minute detail, I gained a new appreciation for the time and effort required to craft a single garment,” he explained.

Jung Kook highlighted several personal flourishes incorporated into the collection, including subtle nods to his iconic tattoos. Perhaps most special is his own signature—a detail he perfected through countless practice runs—which has been delicately embroidered on the inner lining of select pieces.

“It’s like a little secret between me and the fans,” he shared.

Following the announcement of the collaboration on Monday (May 18), Jung Kook expressed his gratitude for the partnership. Having long been a brand ambassador, he noted that this collaboration allowed him to “express myself through the brand’s iconic style” in a more hands-on capacity.

“Working with Calvin Klein in this personal, creative way has been incredibly exciting,” he said. “As this is my first fashion collaboration, I wanted to immerse myself fully in the process, using Calvin Klein’s design expertise to leave my own imprint on every item. This collection feels authentic to my personal style and my passion for riding, serving as a meaningful way to create something lasting through both design and storytelling.”

The collection is currently available online, with select retail locations stocking the line starting Wednesday (May 20).

The launch coincides with BTS’s ongoing global tour in support of their chart-topping album, ARIRANG, with performance dates currently scheduled through March of next year.
