Luna Legend Interviews the Stars of Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie

At just nine years old, Luna Stephens is proving she has a knack for interviewing. Months after hosting a Billboard Family Q&A with her father, John Legend, she sat down to chat with Gloria Estefan and Laila Lockhart Kraner about the new film Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie.
In an exclusive clip premiered by Billboard Family, Luna — who’s the eldest child of John Legend and Chrissy Teigen — beams from between Estefan and Kraner at the movie’s premiere. “Hi, my name is Luna, and today I’m interviewing Gigi and Gabby,” she tells the camera, introducing the film’s two stars with the easy confidence of a seasoned host.
Luna asks a series of bright, child-friendly questions that echo the playful spirit of the original Gabby’s Dollhouse series, which debuted on Netflix in 2021. The feature release was accompanied by a soundtrack that arrived alongside the movie on Sept. 26.
One of Luna’s first queries is a simple, music-forward one: “Do you have a favorite song from the movie that you love to sing?” Kraner replies, “I like ‘Gabby’s Dollhouse World, I think that’s a catchy one,” while Estefan names the tune she gravitates toward: “For me, I think it’s the ‘pinch me’ song [‘Pinching In’].”
The conversation takes a delightfully silly turn when Luna dares her guests to produce the “silliest meow sound” they can muster. Both women launch into exaggerated cat noises, prompting Estefan to quip with a laugh, “That’s when they step on the cat’s tail.”
It’s easy to see where Luna’s on-camera poise comes from: her mother, Chrissy Teigen, has fronted several television projects, from Lip Sync Battle to NBC’s New Year’s Eve specials.
Last year, Luna interviewed her father for Billboard Family about John Legend’s first children’s album, My Favorite Dream — a project that also features Luna, her younger brother Miles, and their mother, Chrissy Teigen.
