JJ Lin Drops 10th-Anniversary ‘Honor of Kings’ Theme ‘Atlas of Tomorrow,’ Poised to Be Gaming’s Next Crossover Hit

JJ Lin and Honor of Kings Release 10th-Anniversary Anthem “Atlas of Tomorrow”

Honor of Kings, the blockbuster mobile game, has debuted its 10th-anniversary theme song, “Atlas of Tomorrow.” The single is streaming across major services — including QQ Music, Kugou, Kuwo, Apple Music, Spotify and KKBOX — and quickly climbed to No. 1 on several charts, underscoring the expanding crossover between Mandopop and global gaming franchises.

“Atlas of Tomorrow” was written and performed by JJ Lin, the celebrated Mandopop artist and two-time Golden Melody Award winner, with lyrics by veteran songwriter Kevin Yi. The song is presented as an anthem for dreamers and those still shaping their futures; its uplifting tone and sweeping arrangement have resonated widely. Shortly after release, the track reached the top of QQ Music, Kugou and other prominent Chinese streaming platforms, and — at the time of publication — has logged more than 2 million saves, generated over 70 trending topics on social media and exceeded 600 million total views.

The song’s influence has spilled beyond music charts into a broad online co-creation movement. Over 280 tourism authorities across mainland China, from Beijing to Guizhou and Zhejiang, have set the track to videos showcasing local landmarks and cityscapes, triggering a viral chain across short-video platforms and social networks.

Centered on the theme “Gathering for Journey,” the piece captures a decade of shared memories associated with Honor of Kings. For many players it functions as more than a soundtrack; it’s a musical reflection of youth, friendship and the stories forged within the game — a testament to both the song’s emotional craftsmanship and the franchise’s cultural reach.

Through this partnership, Tencent Music Entertainment (TME) has worked to broaden the IP’s expression across audio, visual and interactive channels via collaborative campaigns and content co-creation. TME says it will continue deepening strategic ties with influential cultural properties to extend music’s reach and help original artists connect with global audiences.
