Jesy Nelson has issued an urgent public appeal following the theft of her vehicle from her Brentwood, Essex home, which contained essential medical equipment required for the daily care of her infant daughters.

The former Little Mix star utilized her Instagram Stories to report that her black Land Rover Defender was stolen in the early hours of the morning. Nelson reached out to her followers for any leads, pleading, “If you have seen anything or possess any information, please DM me or contact the police. My car contains vital hospital equipment that my girls rely on.”

The situation is particularly dire given the health challenges faced by her twin daughters, Ocean Jade and Story Monroe. Earlier this year, the infants were diagnosed with spinal muscular atrophy (SMA), a degenerative genetic disorder that severely impacts muscle strength and movement.

Nelson has been candid about the exhausting reality of navigating this diagnosis, which has necessitated frequent hospitalizations and specialized daily care. Because SMA Type 1 can hinder fundamental life functions—such as the ability to breathe, swallow, and move independently—the stolen medical supplies are irreplaceable necessities rather than mere inconveniences.

Reflecting on the long-term outlook for her children, Nelson previously noted that medical professionals have cautioned her that the twins may face permanent challenges regarding mobility and neck strength, making consistent access to their specialized equipment a non-negotiable part of their treatment plan.

Since sharing her family’s journey, Nelson has become a vocal advocate for the SMA community, recently rallying behind government initiatives to implement mandatory newborn screenings to ensure earlier diagnoses and interventions.

Following her departure from the globally successful group Little Mix in 2020, Nelson has focused on her solo career, releasing tracks such as “Boyz” and “Bad Thing.” As of now, there have been no updates regarding the recovery of the vehicle.
