Jenna Ortega to Star in Post-Apocalyptic Road Movie from ‘Annette’ Director
Wednesday star Jenna Ortega has been cast in the lead role for Lily May B, the seventh feature film from acclaimed French director Leos Carax, known for works such as Annette and Holy Motors.
The project is described as a post-apocalyptic road movie. The narrative follows a young woman, a boy, and a girl as they traverse a desolate, world-ending landscape on a large motorcycle in search of a sanctuary.
While an official release date has yet to be announced, Carax has indicated that the film will retain the distinct, imaginative atmosphere characteristic of his previous cinematic endeavors.
Ortega is slated to appear in the adaptation of Klara and the Sun later this year and is currently occupied with production on the third season of Wednesday.
