Deadline reports that Javier Bardem and Kate Hudson have been cast as the leads in a new romantic comedy titled Hello & Paris.
According to industry insiders, the film aims to capture the spirit of genre staples such as When Harry Met Sally, Sleepless in Seattle, and You’ve Got Mail. The plot centers on a budding romance between an architect and a novelist who begin a deep connection through their written correspondence.
The project is inspired by Deborah McKinlay’s novel That Part Was True. Elizabeth Chomko, who previously helmed What They Had, will serve as both writer and director. A specific release window has not yet been confirmed.
Bardem is set to appear in the Cape Fear series this summer. Meanwhile, Hudson recently garnered significant awards attention for her performance in the musical drama Music.
