Jason Kelce Refutes Fabricated Quotes Circulating About Bad Bunny
October 14, 2025

Jason Kelce moved to correct misinformation after several accounts on X circulated a fabricated quotation attributed to him about Bad Bunny’s upcoming Super Bowl Halftime performance. In a message posted October 14, 2025, the former NFL standout said he typically avoids responding to online falsities but felt compelled to speak up this time.
Kelce explained that numerous profiles are sharing counterfeit quotes and making them appear authentic. He asked followers to trust only messages that come directly from his official channels and declined to amplify the individual accounts spreading the fabrications.
The bogus attribution claimed Kelce had criticized critics of Bad Bunny in sweeping terms. Although that specific line had no verifiable origin, it spread quickly online amid heated debate over Benito’s selection to headline the 2026 Super Bowl Halftime Show.
The September announcement that Bad Bunny would lead the 2026 halftime show provoked strong reactions from some conservative commentators and public figures who questioned the decision because he performs primarily in Spanish. The controversy included an especially vocal response from former President Donald Trump and plans announced by some groups to stage alternative halftime programming.
Despite the false quote, Kelce has previously expressed admiration for Bad Bunny’s work. Both he and guests on his podcast praised Benito’s cameo in Happy Gilmore 2 — a sentiment Taylor Swift also echoed, complimenting the artist’s comic timing.
