Insider Reports Talking Hulk from Thor Will Return in Avengers: Secret Wars
Marvel appears to be preparing another shift in the dynamic between Bruce Banner and his alter ego.
Insider Alex Perez reported that audiences might see the Hulk version from Thor: Ragnarok again in Avengers: Secret Wars. When a follower asked whether the Russo brothers would bring back the Savage Hulk, Perez replied:
“Remember the Hulk we saw in Thor: Ragnarok? That’s the kind of Hulk you’re going to get.”
In the third Thor film, Bruce Banner spent two years on Sakaar as the Hulk. During this time, his alter ego learned to speak, developed an independent personality, and became a celebrated gladiator.
Banner later managed to merge the two personalities and transform into Smart Hulk, who appeared in Avengers: Endgame and the She-Hulk series. How the creators will explain a return to this version of the Hulk, if Perez’s information is confirmed, remains unknown.
Avengers: Secret Wars is scheduled to premiere on December 17, 2027. Before that, brothers Anthony and Joe Russo will release Avengers: Doomsday, which arrives on December 18, 2026.
