Insider Hints Halo: Combat Evolved Remake Is Coming to PS5
Insider Tom Henderson has hinted that a new Halo title could be unveiled on October 24, 2025, at the Halo World Championship. According to him, the project appears to be a remake of Halo: Combat Evolved that would release not only on Xbox but on PS5 as well.
Earlier reports from Rebs Gaming claimed that studio Virtuos is handling the project, and that the game’s technology merges Unreal Engine 5 with the Blam Engine.
Henderson, known for reliably accurate leaks, commented that it would be “strange to see Halo on PS5,” adding that newcomers who haven’t experienced the original will be thrilled. Many have taken his remarks as an indirect sign the game may launch beyond the Xbox platform.
Microsoft continues to pursue a multiplatform strategy, having released several of its titles outside the Xbox ecosystem in recent months.
Rumors indicate the official reveal of the Halo: Combat Evolved remake will take place on October 24, 2025, where more details about the project and a potential release window are expected to be disclosed.
