Inside Billboard’s ‘The Arrival’ Desert Dance Party: Louis the Child, Surprise Guests, and More

An Exclusive Look Inside “The Arrival”: Billboard’s Desert Dance Celebration

Billboard officially ignited the festivities for a weekend of non-stop music with The Arrival, an exclusive, star-studded desert gala in the Coachella Valley. The event, held in the heart of the desert, featured a electrifying headlining performance by electronic dance powerhouses, Louis the Child.

On Thursday, April 9, a private estate in Indio, California, served as the backdrop for an evening of luxury, high-end hospitality, and spontaneous musical surprises. The night commenced with an opening set by Arlo, setting the mood before British sensation Jonas Blue took the stage, delivering a string of fan-favorites, including his global chart-topper, “Edge of Desire.” Louis the Child then energized the crowd with a dynamic set that included their latest anthem, “I Go Hard.” To cap off the excitement, HNTR stunned attendees by bringing out special guest Juicy J for a rare performance that electrified the room.

Beyond the stellar musical lineup, guests indulged in a sophisticated late-night culinary experience. The spread featured savory bites from Jimmy John’s alongside the trendy supper club, Mary Lou’s, which quickly became the epicenter for industry elites and notable personalities.

The famed supper club—which has previously established a footprint in hotspots like Miami, Palm Beach, Montauk, and Aspen—was a focal point of the night. Meanwhile, attendees could refresh at a dedicated beauty station, featuring premium essentials from brands like ESW Beauty, PanicPanties, Fazit, and CLUTCH Glue.

The Arrival was made possible through the support of key partners. SKECHERS U.S.A. kept the dance floor packed by gifting fans their signature “Hands Free Slip-Ins,” while the Lovesac “First Class Comfort Lounge” offered a chic, stylish oasis for guests to unwind. Additional contributors to the event included FanUp, Buldak Ramen, Bandero Tequila, Adobe, Blind Lemon Hard Lemonade, The Beast, Haku Vodka, 196 Vodka Seltzer, VOSS Water, SharkNinja, and Monster Energy.

The event acted as the premier kickoff for the weekend’s celebrations, drawing an impressive guest list that included the likes of Diplo, Tyga, Juicy J, Kiana Lede, Murda Beats, Rich the Kid, Johnny Manziel, Trevor Wallace, and many others.
